Eikthyr power improves your running and jumping abilities which are essential things to do in the game. The jump and run stamina usage become -60% for 5 mins but do note that there’s a 20 minute cool down period.
The Elder Power will give you a faster wood cutting buff which is pretty awesome because you will need a LOT of wood in this game. The cooldown for this power is also 20 minutes and it will last for 5 minutes as well.
Bonemass’ Forsaken power gives you massive resistance. Here’s how it is described in the game:
Moder’s Power gives you the ability to always tailwind while sailing. The power time period is 5 minutes and cool down time is 20 minutes.
Yagluth’s Forsaken Power gives you resistance from elemental damage which is basically poison, frost and fire.
In order to get these Forsaken Powers, players will have to have killed each of the Valheim bosses and claimed their trophies. Then the trophy must be hung on the correct hook in the starting spawn area, called the Temple or the Sacrificial Circle. Each boss will have its own trophy stone in the circle. Players can only have one power at a time in their inventory; in order to switch which powers they have access to, players just need to interact with the trophy of the boss associated with the desired power. The F key will activate the power. Now that players know how to get an activate them, it's time to rank the powers.
Moder, the icy queen of the Mountain Biome, grants players the power of sailing with speed. This buff grants five minutes of guaranteed tail winds while sailing, helping players that are trying to outrun Valheim 's dangerous sea serpents. The cooldown, like all the other buffs is 20 minutes, which makes it a little less useful than it could be. It also unfortunately does not boost the speed of the wind; players caught in light winds will not give more power to the winds in their sails. However, it does make the boring business of sailing a little faster and a little more interesting.
When Valheim players defeat one of the five current Biome's bosses, a new power is granted to them called a Forsaken Power that buffs players. There are five total biomes in Valheim that currently have bosses associated with them.
Some of these powers are situational, and some are currently not useful in most cases. Considering some of the powers affect nearby players as well, knowing which power is the best option for each situation, can make exploring the wonderful world of Valheim and defeating the enemies they encounter much easier.
Valheim is currently in early access, and there is a lot of new content and expansions are planned for the future of the game. Some of this new content is rumored to be bosses that can make this forsaken power worthwhile since defeating them requires the elemental resistance granted by this forsaken power's buff.
Defeating the boss of the Mountain Biome, Moder, gives the players the ability of faster sailing. This power grants a five-minute buff that tailwinds the boat for the duration, with a 20-minute cooldown. Unfortunately, this power only affects the winds while sailing, and it has no effect on land activities. And even in the boat, it doesn't stack with existing winds for more speed.
