So, I saved up enough caps to buy a new power armor frame, and I was pretty pumpped to get another one for my set. But after buying it, I cannot seem to find it.
Nov 17, 2015 · On the PC version you hold down the TAB key - for Playstation 4 you hold the O button and for Xbox you hold the B button. This is the same button as to bring up the Pip Boy (although in that instance you press rather than hold). This is also the same key binding to enable the flashlight when on foot and the flashlight on the mining helmet.
Nov 14, 2015 · Power armor frames are a nebulous area. You need to have the various parts (helmet, leg bits, etc) in your personal inventory to put them onto a frame. You can customize power armor at the crafting station with your workshop inventory, but the actual armor parts and fusion core swapping needs to be from your personal inventory.

The frame is where you bought it. It'll be "parked" next to whatever shop you got it at. GT: WHLTE RLDER.
When purchased from a vendor, the frame will spawn in the power armor station in the shop.
Simple. Walk up to an unoccupied Power Armor frame, and press Space (or whatever control is displayed) and you'll now have a Power Armor Chassis in your inventory! When you want to use your armor again, simply equip or drop the chassis to deploy it in front of you!Nov 16, 2018
A chassis can be moved to the inventory by exiting the armor and pressing the "Collect" button or key when looking at the chassis' inventory. The weight of the chassis in inventory is 10, and any equipped power armor parts will not add any additional weight.

You can store the armor for later use in your stash or in your personal inventory. Once you claim a Power Armor suit, it will be placed in your inventory. If you are wearing the armor and would like to get out of it, you can do so by holding the A/X button.Nov 1, 2018

It's actually pretty easy to steal the power armor (frame included) from a hostile enemy. Just shoot them with a pax syringe from the syringer. Then you can walk right up to them, crouch next to them, and pickpocket their fusion core.Jun 3, 2016
1 Answer. Unfortunately, the vanilla game treats taking or entering owned power armor as stealing, even if the previous owner is no longer among the living. If you're on PC, you can open the console, click the power armor frame, type ClearOwnership , then hit enter.
Although it is currently impossible to loot the Power Armor frame from a dead NPC, there are two ways to prompt the NPC into stepping out of his armor. One is to destroy the Fusion Core, and the other is to pickpocket the Fusion Core from the NPC.Nov 11, 2015
