Swirl is the Elemental Reaction triggered by inflicting Anemo on a target that is already affected by Pyro, Electro, Hydro, or Cryo. Swirl can also be triggered in the other direction by inflicting Pyro, Electro, Hydro, or Cryo to a target that is already affected by Anemo, but aside from enemies that apply long-lasting Anemo to themselves, Anemo applications do not linger, so Anemo is the only element that can trigger Swirl most of the time. This reaction deals elemental DMG of the non-Anemo element involved.
Since Swirl depends on the triggering element, Transformative and Amplifying Reactions are possible on enemy units with compatible elements. For example: Swirling an enemy unit afflicted with Pyro which is nearby another enemy unit that is afflicted Cryo will cause a Melt Reaction.
If the triggering element dealt damage, then the Swirl reaction will also deal damage of the element that was Swirled. If the triggering element did not deal damage, then the Swirl reaction also does not deal damage, but the non-Anemo element will still spread to surrounding targets.

Particles are rendered as front-facing 2D sprites, meaning they always face the player. They disappear after a short animation, in which they may change sizes and rotate, and cycle between a number of animation sprites. They collide with solid blocks and are slowed by cobwebs, but are unaffected by other entities .
The types of particles and their ID names are displayed below. Particles are namespaced with the prefix minecraft: for Minecraft Bedrock edition.
For a history of particle texture changes, see Java Edition history of textures/Particles and Bedrock Edition history of textures/Particles .
