Every rocket launch happens in stages, and each stage is triggered by tapping the space bar. The Kerbal 2 rocket is designed with 3 stages. The very first stage releases the rocket from its supporting structure and ignites the rocket engine.

im a total newby and tried to build my first super awesome rocket to space. I have a friend helping me with stuff over skype so its been going pretty good. But now when i want to launch my rocket, the stages dont want to activate when i press spacebar. and he doesnt have a clue either. he just keeps saying "SUCKS TO BE YOU NERD"
What buttons exactly do I click to turn on all my engines in the stage at once. I know how to set up the stages, I just don't know how to turn them on.

Only way to solve is change to some other overlay (docking or orbital) and switch back to staging. Alternatively, click the staging button while you're already in staging to hide the left menu of stages (thus locking stages), then click it again to expand the left menu and unlock staging.Jan 27, 2018

To "break" the rocket in the correct place, simply point your mouse at the section below the separator ring, the black and yellow ring with the red square on it, and do a left-mouse-click (LMC) once. This selects the fuel cell that is underneath of the separator ring and everything below that section of the rocket.
