To power your rails place a redstone torch next to the rails or a torch just beneath the block the rail is on top of. A torch will power any adjacent rails up to nine rails.
Use a redstone signal to power them. you can use a redstone block next to, or beneath the powered rail, or use a redstone torch next to the rail. Another method is to put a detector rail in front of a powerd rail. This will send a redstone signal into the powerd rail.Jul 20, 2014
The Activator Rail is a type of Minecart-based rail that can set off minecarts with TNT, deactivate/activate minecarts with hopper, and drop off any player or entity inside the minecart. The activator rail must be powered to do this. It acts like a normal Rail when it's not powered.
For all other (utility) minecart types, the optimal spacing of powered rails on a level track is to use 1 every 27 blocks for empty utility carts (1 powered rail followed by 26 normal rails). A full utility minecart requires much more at 1 every 6 blocks.
A detector rail can power 4 adjacent blocks and 2 blocks below it when a minecart, occupied or empty, is on it. This makes it possible to activate powered rails inline without redstone torches or wiring. A detector can be used to activate adjacent powered rails.
Powered rails can increase or decrease the speed at which minecarts travel. This type of rail keeps a minecart moving on the railway. Activator rails cause any minecart that runs over them to drop off any player or material that is being transported.Apr 22, 2016
One powered rail going uphill will only push you about four or five blocks uphill. Combining many powered rails together at the bottom only seems to increase your speed additively. To really go uphill you will need to space your powered rails as you are going uphill.Dec 24, 2021

Repeater systems are used to “transfer” your transmitted and received signals to much higher levels electronically using large, very efficient high gain antennas, low loss feedlines and a transmitter and receiver that is rated for heavy or continuous duty.
Most repeaters use only one antenna. The antenna is used on transmit and receive signals that are going into and out of the repeater. It usually is a high performance, high gain, heavy duty, and very efficient antenna located as high on a tower or structure as we can get it above the surrounding terrain.
Simplex should be used when the two stations are close enough to carry on a conversation without the use of a repeater and will help in congested metro areas with a limited number of repeaters. Simplex should always be used if possible rather than a repeater. See chart below for suggested simplex frequencies.

In a Nutshell: To make a Redstone Repeater, open the crafting area made up of the 3x3 grid. Place 2 Redstone Torches on either side of the second row, then add Redstone to the center box in the second row, and finally fill the entirety of the third row with 3 stone blocks.
To repeat Redstone signals you will need to make a clock. Connecting this clock to a Redstone dispenser will repeat the signal until the dispenser is emptied.
Redstone clocks are used to flick the circuit into a constant on-off state. It is a fundamental basis for automating many procedures. There are many different kinds of Redstone clocks, but the easiest one for me to remember is also one of the most compacts.
Redstone comparators are made with three stone, three Redstone torches, and a single piece of nether quartz. Comparators are a more complicated device but their uses involve checking the “state” of certain blocks, such as how full a barrel is or the direction of an item frame.
Redstone dust is also used for wiring your devices together so try to keep a lot on hand. You will also need three-stone pieces. Make sure it is not cobblestone or smooth stone, but the state in between. To get to this state of stone block you will need to cook cobblestone in a furnace.
