The active pen marketplace has long been dominated by N-trig and Wacom, but newer firms Atmel and Synaptics also offer active pen designs.

Jan 25, 2017 · I just purchased the HP Spectre 13" x360 - installed with Windows 10. I also purchased the Dell Active Stylus hoping it would work with the HP touchscreen, but no such luck. It is recognized and paired with the Spectre's Bluetooth, and the pen's button will activate Notes, but the tip of the pen does not engage with the screen.
Of course, HP is no stranger to making great devices, so that's not really a surprise. The Spectre x360 also comes with an active pen out of the box, which lets you draw or take notes more naturally.Jul 7, 2021
