May 03, 2018 · I restarted g5 transmitter about a month before it’s programmed shutoff (we were away for a month and I was afraid it stops before I have access to a computer). It worked well. However, after a full month (and about the time of its programmed shutoff) I got a sensor failure and within minutes transmitter failure. Had to pair a new transmitter.

If your phone goes into low power mode, that will turn off Bluetooth and cause connection issues with the Dexcom G6 app and transmitter. You will need to install the Dexcom Share2 app on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and follow the setup wizard. Go to Share settings on the receiver and select “Forget Device.” Then open the Dexcom Share2 app, log in using your account you previously created and follow the instructions to pair to your new receiver.
Starting at 3 weeks before the end of its battery life, the warnings count down the transmitter battery life until it has only 10 days – one sensor session – left. If the transmitter battery has less than 10 days remaining, you won't be able to start a new session and will see “Pair New Transmitter” instead.Mar 25, 2021
